SBIC ESA BIC Noordwijk research intern vacancy with spaceship on blue background

We are looking for a student who is interested in diving into data. Come join our team as an intern for 3 months!

The Space Business Innovation Centre (SBIC) Noordwijk supports entrepreneurs and startups that make use of space technology. We do this, primarily, through our management of the business incubation centre from the European Space Agency, ESA BIC Noordwijk. As part of an extensive network of 26 ESA BICs across Europe, our programme is unique – we were the inaugural incubation hub launched by ESA (almost 20 years ago) and have had 140 startups come through our doors since the start of the programme.

Our startups always have a space link, come from various industries and incorporate a multitude of technical innovations. Many of these businesses have thrived, some have changed direction, some didn’t make it through the programme. A wealth of data has been generated that can be vital in providing business insights for future development of the programme. This is where you come in.

What will you do?

You’ll be collecting and digging into the data that has been accumulated since 2005, contacting the programme’s alumni, and providing analyses and insights on the businesses and experiences of the programme graduates. You will be expected to provide a report outlining the current status, which will provide us and our main stakeholders with insights into our ESA BIC portfolio.
